UAE’s MBank Launches AED Escrow Service for Crypto Transactions via Changer.ae

MBank has introduced a fiat-to-crypto escrow service denominated in UAE dirhams (AED), marking a significant step in bridging traditional finance with the digital asset economy. The service, developed in partnership with Changer.ae, allows clients to securely hold AED in escrow while converting between fiat and cryptocurrencies through the platform.

The Central Bank of the UAE (CBUAE) has formally approved MBank’s AED escrow account for Changer.ae, providing regulatory legitimacy to the offering. Mohammed Wassim Khayata, CEO of MBank, and Wang Hao of Changer.ae jointly announced the initiative, positioning it as a secure gateway for institutional and retail crypto adoption in the region.
